SEPTEMBER 12TH
EMERGENCY VETERINARIAN DAY

A DAY DEDICATED TO CELEBRATING AND APPRECIATING EMERGENCY VETERINARIANS

Emergency veterinarians are amazing all year round, but this one day is set aside to specifically acknowledge their hard work, dedication and achievements in the field of veterinary medicine. Since early 2020, the veterinary industry has faced challenges as it has never seen before, and while the caseload and demands increased, the number of doctors able to help those pets did not. Emergency veterinarians stepped up to the plate and took care of the overflow of patients that no one else could see. The physical strength and strength of character it takes to handle everything that is being thrown at them is something that needs to be both acknowledged and praised.

Emergency Veterinarian Day is a holiday not just celebrated by people in the veterinary community, but also by customers and other non veterinary people alike. It is a day that all people of different backgrounds come together to thank emergency veterinarians for what they do.

To make this day even more special, one individual will win the award of “Emergency Veterinarian of the Year”.
The nomination process includes the following criteria:

  1. The recipient shall be a current and practicing full time Emergency Veterinarian.

  2. Has exemplified compassion and caring with both patients and owners.

  3. Has acted as a leader in all kinds of situations, allowing those around to learn and grow.

  4. Made good medicine a priority in cases of all types.

This winner is picked by a panel of Emergency Veterinarians who examine all of the submissions anonymously and determine based on merit, which individual will be awarded the title.

2021 WINNER IS:
